Harmony Korine’s ‘Spring Breakers’ Is Getting Its Own TV Series

The colorful cult classic makes its way to the small screen.

It was just reported by Deadline that the Harmony Korine-directed film Spring Breakers is coming to the TV screens as a newly-formed series. The 2012 cult classic, produced by Chris Hanley and Fernando Sulichin, will be bringing the title to a digital platform debuting soon called Blackpills. However, Harmony Korine is not involved and the castings are still “in the works.”

The movie Spring Breakers starred Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Benson and Rachel Korine. They played college students who commit robberies and get mixed with dodgy people such as James Franco and Gucci Mane’s character. It’s unsure yet what the storyline of the show will be but Blackpills specializes in “short scripted premium content.”

Keep posted for updates.
