Last night at Birthdays in Dalston, North London, G-Eazy’s album pre launch party for his forthcoming album entitled ‘when it’s dark out’ went off. After previewing every track from the highly anticipated album and chilling with the fans, we caught up with the Bay Area rapper who went on to reveal a little secret about the inspiration behind the track ‘my neighbours a bitch’.

G told the crowd that he had recently moved into a new home in the Hollywood hills, admitting it was slightly cliche. Like any of us would, he threw a number of parties to celebrate his successes and acquiring his new dream home, the parties were host to a number of celebrity names, bucket loads of drink & plenty of women.

However, his next door neighbour wasn’t too happy with his arrival & his consistent ‘turning up’. The next door neighbour turned out to be ‘How I Met Your Mother’s’ very own Jason Segel, who called the cops on G-Eazy to have one of the parties shut down.

Doing what he does best, the young star took it on the chin & composed a track naming it ‘My Neighbours A Bitch’ in homage to the beef with Jason.

G-Eazy When It's Dark Out Tour

We have to admit, this may have been our favourite track from the night. Sorry, Jason.

You can pre-order ‘When It’s Dark’ Out HERE, which drops on the 4th December and you watch the album trailer above.

XXL spent some time with G-Eazy during the recording process of his sophomore LP and he spoke on his hopes that his music will have longevity: “I want people to connect and identify with the stories and hope it means something a year from now or more,” G-Eazy says. “You make music within this lonely space in a room with no windows for months on end. And then you just put it out. All you can do is dig deep and pour out everything you have.”

Also, you can catch G on his When It’s Dark Out tour with A$AP Ferg at the following dates in a city near you.
